Nathan's new calling

It looks like I never mentioned Nathan's new calling here! It happened it in mid July, so I guess that's not too long ago.

Anyway, he's the new 2nd councilor in our ward. For you non-mormons that means he's one of three of the main leadership in our little branch of the church. He's in charge of overseeing the youth (12-18 year olds), deals with interviews and giving out new callings, helps make major decisions for our ward, and conducts the main meeting on Sunday about half the time. He'll probably be in that position for about 5 years. But it could be longer because he could always move up the 1st councilor or bishop whenever a change is made. It's a big respncibility. But I think he'll be good at it. What does it mean for me? Well, he's been gone for one night a week doing church stuff and I'm pretty much on my own on Sundays because he's busy. But otherwise it hasn't been too bad. In fact he was so involved with his previous calling (Elders Quorum President) that I've actually seen him more since the change happened.

Anyway, congrats to my man. He's a very valuable addition to any group he's allys himself with.
