Today is talk like a pirate day! I love the idea of doing something piratey. So this year when Nathan got home from work, I sent him on a pirate treasure hunt!
First, the front door. The sign says "pirates only"
Then, there was a treasure map just inside.
The first clue was in Jared's room
The next one was in our room
The next clue was outside
And the last one was on the fridge
All the clues put together make a skeleton key that "opens the treasure box"The treasure was some homemade strawberry-banana popcicles!
The kids "helped" me put everything together.

I apologise for not checking your blog for a long time. (I don't check my kids' blogs very often either.) What a cute and fun idea! I'm going to remember that one. What some cute pictures too! :)
