The only times I ever feel bad about not wearing makeup is when I'm trying on new clothes or getting a haircut. And it's not neccesarily because I don't like the way I look, but I'm comparing myself to the way I'm "supposed to look" and falling way short. It's too bad it has to be that way, because I really am satisified by the way I look. But even I am influced by the have-to-be-unrelaistically-beautiful society.
Of course there are times when I look into the mirror and think I look gross. And there are pictures of my I wish didn't exist and times when I don't want new ones taken. But seriously, I'll bet that sort of thing happens to the people who spend hours in front of the mirror getting ready in the morning a lot more than it happens to me. And I have more time to sleep in. Well, not anymore with Jared getting up so early, but you get the idea...

Hey, that's my favorite length of hair too. Looks great on you.
I totally agree with your commentary on the whole make-up-and-obsessing-about-looks thing. I know I'm no super model, but I need that hour a day that some other people spend on their appearance! So what if I don't look like Cindy Crawford for my kids? They don't care! :) And it's really easy for even little kids to start worrying about their looks if their moms make comments about their own looks.
