Jared and I went to the zoo today with Jamie, another momma of a july baby I met online and her Aubrey . It was hot and crowded, but fun. The babies were cute. Aubrey kept looking at Jared and saying "baby" and she was also interested in touching him. He, on the other hand, as more interested in finding things on the ground to put in his mouth!They seemed to like looking at all the people and animals. Jared met a goat who really wanted to eat the plastic spoon he was holding and keep putting his face through the fence towards him which made him laugh histerically.
I was exited about meeting Jamie today because she's another mom of a similar aged baby who lives relatively close to me. But it turned out to be a big disapointment. She came with her fiance and sister and none of them were very social. I kept trying to make small talk bu no one would participate. So it ended up feeling like I was following a couple strangers around, since we weren't being companionable.
After I got home she texted me asking if I wanted to hang out again sometime. She said she was sorry she was shy, but it's hard to meet people. I said that it was a bit disapointing, but a wierd way to meet. I don't actually believe that, because I thought it was the ideal way to meet, a public place with things to look at, but I wanted to give her an out. The conversation ended well though. She said it would be better if we get together just us and the babies. We might do something in Vancouver sometime.

What an adorable picture! If you just look at the small picture they look like they could be twins... same size, same hair color, both cute... but when I zoomed in they looked different. It's fun to have friends with babies the same age!
They could pass for twins. I just love that picture so much.
