Jaredisms

Here are some Jaredisms from the last couple months:
When we were getting ready for church on day Jared said he wanted to bring his blue blanket. I told him he couldn't bring a blanket to church and he said "But my blanket is my favorite thing in the whole world!" with such sincerity it made me laugh. Of course by the time we were actually leaving he'd forgotten all about the blanket.

On the way to a Saint Patrick's the kids wanted some of the candy that I was bringing for a hostess gift, so I gave them both one. But then when Jared asked for more I told him he had to wait until we had dinner because there would be treats then. And that if he ate too much sugar it would make his tummy hurt. He said "oh, if I eat sugar I will have a green tummy?"
Jared was trying to put a diaper on one of Kayla's little dolls. Then he got a pair of scissors out and said matter of factly "I'm not going to cut her legs, I'm just going to cut her head a little bit of a piece!" It made me laugh. But then I took the doll away and said he needed to just cut paper and not dolls' head.
He was having whole conversations with his orange slices one morning. It was particularly cute when he'd ask some of them if he could eat one of the other ones.
we're looking at a picture of a snake about to eat a frog
Jared: "the snake is talking to the frog"
Me: "oh? what are they talking about?"
Jared: "Jesus"

He was having a hard time in Primary so I took him in class with me. It was gospel doctrine so Nathan was there, so he sat right in between us. Of course he started getting bored and antsy after a while, so Nathan told him that if he could be reverent until the end of class he could have the doughnut that was in his car. After a few minutes of thinking about that Jared says: mommy, "I need a snack" and I'm running out of energy" then "my tummy is rumbling." I offered him some cheerios and of course he didn't want though. He was being pretty clever though.
Jared told me a story that I thought was worth recording.
"once upon a time there was a big rock in the forest. And he wanted to go on a walk with a crocodile. They looked for spiders! The end"
He was talking to a little toy dinosaur and asked it where it came from. I said "where did he come from" to which Jared replied "from 'we are the dinosaurs'" (a song he likes). So I asked him "and where did you come from?" and he said "I came from my family"
We had some orange soda at lunch time that was left over from when we barbecued the other night. When Jared wanted some more he said "mommy, can I have some more spicy juice?"

Nathan told Jared to pick up his toys (after asking several times) or he was going to his room and Jared responded by getting mad and saying "fine! I'm going to put them away really fast and really hard!" Like that was really threatening...

While looking at a penny he said "Wow, it's a golden quarter!"

He had an accident in his pants and I found him taking them off. But before I could say anything he looked at me with a forlorn look and said "my penis keeps leaking!"

Apparently Jared's primary class has been talking about body parts and how Jesus gave them to us because he's been talking about that a lot. Today he said "did you know that Jesus game me arms?" I said "yes, I did know that" to which he said "He gave me a nose and mouth too. That was nice of him!"

He went with Nathan to give a blessing and when they came back we were talking about when he's big he can give people blessings too. He said "I can give you a hug!" and gave me a big hug. And when I'm big I can give you a biiiig hug!" I told him I hope so. You never know if big kids will give their moms hugs though..

Part of one of his prayers:
Me prompting: "Bless that the Holy Ghost can be with us"
Jared: "Bless that the Holy Ghost... can play with us"

I told him it was my birthday and that meant it was the day that I was born. He said surprised "You were born!? I was born too!!

Jared: Did you know you have a baby in your tummy?
Me: Yes, I did
Jared: Can I see it? (trying to look at my stomach)
Me: It's really really tiny
Jared: Really tiny?
Me: But then it will grow really big
Jared: Is it Ironman?
