Post for Amy and Jana

So Jana asked about our vacation plans this summer and it occurred to me that I need to tell both of you so maybe we can see you.

We’re going to the family reunion in Salt Lake (or more specifically Fruit Heights) on Saturday, Aug 9th. We’ll be stopping in Boise on the way staying with your mom. I’m assuming she will drive with us to the reunion at the same time but in separate cars. Then from Saturday night to Tuesday morning we’ll be in the Salt Lake area visiting relatives. I really want see Alma J. and his kids because I don’t know them very well and would like to. I also want to visit JJ. Then I have an aunt on my mom’s side there I would like to have lunch with at least, and my brother Matt lives in Park City, so we could visit him too.

After that we were talking about going to the Gobi dessert and do some camping, especially the Arches National Park area because Nathan would like to take some desert pictures. We’ve recently changed our minds on that though because going to a desert in the hottest part of the year with a 1-year-old would probably be more trouble than it’s worth. So, maybe some other time.

So instead we’ll be visiting Nathan’s grandma in Klamath Falls Oregon by way of Reno where my mom has a cousin with a really cool farm. Then going home from Klamath Falls. So, it’ll be a vacation of a lot of driving and visiting relatives. I’m excited.

So maybe you guys could come with us to the family reunion on Aug. 9th?
I’m really hoping Lael will be at the reunion and I want to meet some of the older family members I don’t know or don’t remember. But seeing you guys would be really cool too!

Oh, and Jana, the other vacation is on Labor day weekend. We're going Wenachee Washington with my parents and brother Russell and his wife. We have traditionally camped on labor day weekend. But we're staying in a resort type hotel this time. It should be fun!
